About

At Get Active Physiotherapy St Leonards, we aim to enhance your quality of life by getting you back to the activities you love. We offer professional physiotherapy and massage services to help our patients alleviate their pain & discomfort.

Who We Are

We have worked with the St Leonards community for more than 20 years, providing diagnosis and treatment for common conditions such as back pain, headaches and migraines, and foot discomfort. In addition to these pain problems that can disrupt your daily life, we also treat other common conditions such as shin splints, carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow.

Our qualified team of physiotherapists and massage therapists have years of experience, and their focus is always on giving the best possible care to our patients. All our physiotherapists are registered with AHPRA and each massage therapist is registered with an Australian massage association.

When you visit Get Active Physiotherapy St Leonards, your rehabilitation is our first priority. Each person’s body has unique needs, which makes generic treatment plans ineffective. Our team will work to understand the specific causes behind your pain and create a customised recommendation based on your lifestyle.

To formulate your treatment plan, your physiotherapist will ask about any relevant medical history and complete a physical assessment to develop a personalised “Patient Action Plan” for you. This plan includes a recommendation for the number of clinic sessions you will need, as well as exercises you can do at home and an estimated timeline for recovery.

No problem!

Get Active can provide you with a FREE 1 week pass to access all Fitness First facilities in your own time. As well as this, we can arrange a special “Rehabilitation Membership” to allow you unlimited access to the gym to complete your rehabilitation exercise program. Ask your Physiotherapist for details.

If you are a CTP or Worker’s Compensation claim, we can invoice your insurance company for these memberships so you can get the best possible results.

Your progress will be regularly checked throughout this period to ensure excellent progress is being made at all times.

The more, the merrier!

The majority of our clients are self‐referred. They come to see us because they are pleased with the outcomes we’ve achieved for them or because they have family and friends who were so pleased with our service they’ve sent others to us. We would be happy to expect the same word of mouth referrals from you. And to reward you, for every referral for physiotherapy, we will give you a complimentary 30 minute Remedial massage!

If you’re asking yourself this question, let us be the ones to answer that for you!

Come in for a FREE 10 minute pre-assessment and have a chat with one of our Physiotherapists to see if you can benefit from Physiotherapy treatment.

You do not need to see the physiotherapists to have treatment by our skilled massage therapists. To make appointment for these therapists simply contact our friendly admin team. However if your condition is recurrent or undiagnosed we recommend physiotherapy assessment prior to massage.

Many physiotherapy patients will also have some sessions with the massage therapist  to ensure comprehensive recovery is achieved – regular massage and acupuncture is also a great way to prevent re-injury and muscle tightness.
